The Columbia River Gorge is home to a ton of spectacular waterfalls. I bookmarked a few—Horsetail, Bridal Veil, Shepperd's Dell—but we ended up only visiting Wahkeena, Latourell, and the iconic Multnomah. (No photos from Wahkeena).
The following three photos are from Latourell Falls. This one was probably my favorite. You can walk right up to the falls and take a shower if you like. Granted, it would be an extremely forceful shower. No one dared, at least during the time that we were there. You can also walk around and experience the falls from behind.
The color surrounding Latourell Falls is surreal.
Of course, no visit to the Columbia River Gorge would be complete without witnessing the famous Multnomah Falls. We did take the short hike up to the Benson Bridge shown in the photo, but I'm not happy with any of the photographic results from up there. Anyway, I feel like the bridge is an integral part of any Multnomah shot.
Finally, we continued west along the scenic highway and stopped at the Vista House, which provided a spectacular view of the river.
