Some time during Thanksgiving dinner, I dropped my camera with my 580EX flash attached. It wasn't a big drop, but it was enough to break the hot shoe on the bottom of the flash. Luckily, I found an online store that sells the replacement part. You can see the broken part center and to the right in the photo. The replacement part is on the left. It was a fairly easy operation.
